Pocono Raceway is called the “Tricky Triangle” because of its unique design. Each turn is modeled after turns from three different racetracks. Turn One (14-degree banking) was modeled after the now defunct Trenton Speedway. Turn Two (9-degree banking) has characteristics of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Turn 3 (6-degree banking) is similar to The Milwaukee Mile.

LONG POND, Pa.–Tony Kanaan posted his best finish this year when he placed eighth in the ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway Sunday afternoon; it was his third top-10 finish of the season.
LONG POND, Pa.—Weather dampened Pocono Raceway but not the spirits of A.J. Foyt’s ABC Supply team as Tony Kanaan topped the two hour practice session today as 22 drivers dialed in their cars in preparation for Sunday’s ABC Supply 500.
Doug Barnes has worked with AJ Foyt Racing several different times throughout his career which began in 1983. He rejoined the team this year and currently works as a mechanic on the No. 14 ABC Supply Chevrolet driven by Tony Kanaan.
